Crayon Roll

Crayon roll tutorials are a dime-a-dozen on the internet. And this one is one of the better ones that I have found.

I only altered two things: the size of the slots {because I knew I was going to use the triangular Crayolas... they don't roll off the restaurant table!} and I used Velcro attached to a tab instead of ribbon... since I want my little guy to be able to put it away himself.

He loves it and I have a feeling that this might be my "go-to" gift for some upcoming birthdays!

Of course I love it! Especially the fabric. Did you sew on the Velcro or use the sticky kind? I’ve never used it in a sewing project.

Thanks Lisa! I love the fabric too - I used quite a bit of it in his room.

I used the sticky-iron-on Velcro, but I also sewed it down to make sure it was really secure. Sometimes he doesn't know his own strength.

I love Skip to my Lou - have used many of her tutorials recently...including a little something I hope and plan to make for you (though sadly not in time for Christmas)

I hope we talk soon - I can't wait to see what's in the boys boxes and may I tell you again thanks for thinking of us at this busy, crazy, special time of year.
